Description

Brunel is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work for a leading food commodity provider in Guyana.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the financial architecture expanding operations across the Caribbean and North America. Main responsibilities include: Raising capital, managing investor relationships, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting long-term value creation across cold chain, agri-logistics, hydroponics, and import operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in senior financial roles, with a minimum of 5 years as CFO or Financial

  • Background in infrastructure, agriculture, logistics, or manufacturing preferred

  • Proven experience with capital raising, investor relations, and debt structuring

  • Knowledge of Guyanese and Caribbean accounting and tax regulations

  • CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent designation strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or MFin is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting across all entities and projects.

  • Structure and manage project financing for infrastructure and agritech ventures.

  • Oversee accounting, compliance (GAAP/IFRS), tax planning, and risk mitigation.

  • Drive fundraising efforts: equity, debt, blended finance, and government incentives.

  • Lead capital stack structuring for major investments including solar + cold storage assets.

  • Maintain reporting compliance with local and international regulatory agencies.

  • Implement ERP or cloud-based accounting systems for multi-entity operations.

  • Serve as the financial liaison with partners, banks, development agencies, and family offices.

  • EBITDA growth, COGS optimization, and ROIC across business units.
