We are seeking skilled Carpenters, Plumbers and Masons to join our construction and engineering department. These roles are critical in executing construction projects, including building and maintaining structures essential to our operations. Candidates will work on various construction sites and projects, requiring flexibility and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Proven experience in carpentry, masonry, or plumbing with a portfolio of completed projects.
Technical training or apprenticeship in the relevant trade (carpentry, masonry, or plumbing) preferred.
Proficient in using tools and equipment specific to each trade.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Strong understanding of construction techniques and methods of installation and construction applicable to each trade.
Good physical condition and endurance.
Excellent understanding of safety rules and regulations in the construction industry.
Willingness to travel and work across various construction sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpenters:
Construct, install, and repair frameworks and structures such as buildings, drains, revetment (pall-off), bridges and other similar jobs.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Prepare layouts using measuring tools, and assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, windows, moulding, hardware, etc.
Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in schools, offices, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Masons:
Lay out patterns, forms, or foundations according to plans.
Cut, shape, and dress materials, and lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to create structures and surfaces.
Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, and slurry.
Install and repair brick or stone surfaces and structures, including walkways, walls, and support structures.
Ensure structures are aligned, level, and aesthetically pleasing.
Plumbers:
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring).
Install and maintain water supply systems.
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks).
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, etc.
Review building plans and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
