Leader Engineering is seeking a CFO to help determine and shape the business & financial operations for a leading Guyanese business, based in Georgetown.

 

The Chief Financial Officer will be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. This will include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree qualified in relevant financial discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience leading the finance function within a similar business, and a track record of driving internal improvements and change.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
  • High level of knowledge in relation to local and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Expert level in management of systems, their development, implementation and external certification.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • A strong commercial background.
  • Change management experience
  • Previous experience developing, implementing and improving internal control systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems (eg. Enter bookkeeping knowledge required]).
  • CPA qualified or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Shape develop and execute the company’s financial strategies
  • Oversee the Group monthly closing and reporting cycle ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with relation to; Personal Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Value Added Tax and Corporate Income Tax.
  • Development of processes across the region to improve both reporting and cost efficiencies.
  • Continuous review and development of process and procedures in relation to financial matters across the business.
  • Manage and control the preparation of operational and cash budgets and re-forecast.
  • Full operational management of the finance function, including management and development of staff at all levels.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Management reporting; Internal and External Audits
  • Cash collection and debtor control.
  • Intercompany reconciliation monthly.
  • Tender review and contracts management.
  • Special projects as directed
  • Forex control

Remuneration

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
