Requirements

  • Candidates must have five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics, English and Accounts and a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent to the position, from a recognized institution.
  • One year experience or working knowledge in Accounting would be an asset
  • PC skills, familiar with relevant spreadsheets and software packages such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook would be ideal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the operation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with little to no supervision and meet targets.

Responsibilities

  • Receives funds from customers and employees, disburses funds, and records monetary transactions
  • Receives cash or checks or completes credit charge transactions.
  • Counts money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received.
  • Issues  the correct change to customers
  • Compare totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances.
