MAIN FUNCTIONS: Performs a variety of professional, technical and analytical duties
in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and
networks. Analyzes, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and
deficiencies. Configures and installs computer hardware and software. Manages
inventory control of IT equipment and supplies. Upgrades hardware and software
components. Maintains IT hardware asset and software tracking. Monitors and collects
data on system performance. Position will receive direction and support. This position
level would typically include junior Technical Analyst performing mostly basic tasks.
Prior extensive experience not required. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Extensive
working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems, software and
network communication protocols. Excellent communication and customer service


Work Experience: • 1 to 5 years experience in IT support • Hands on experience on IT
service offerings • Computing & Telecom Infrastructure experience and understanding •
Experience Desktop, LAN/WAN Troubleshooting • Previous oil and gas industry IT
experience is a plus • Strong computer and problem solving skills • Good oral and
written communication skills • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills • Has initiative
and motivation and the ability to coordinate a small team • Customer Service Oriented


Position Description: • On-site Customer Experience analyst for EMIT in Guyana.
Position is a hands-on analyst who will provide day-to-day support and consulting to
local business units of all installed computing and telecom equipment & systems •
Assist with implementation and support of new IT Infrastructure including Data Center
& Telecommunication Rooms • Assist with all technical support for PCs, Servers, UNIX
hardware, Storage equipment, LAN, WAN, Voice, Video, Satellite, Microwave, Radios,
and mobile telephony, ensuring they are installed and maintained according to global standards • Interface and coordinate with centralized EMIT support groups as needed for troubleshooting issues • Assist with telecommunications network
and equipment planning, selection; implementation, operation, and maintenance •
Provide training and coaching to new support staff on company processes &
procedures and Security & Controls standards • Work closely with clients to determine,
prioritize, and address client support needs • Assist with Project planning and
implementation • Develop and maintain site/operation documentation • Assist with
disaster-recovery and EMIT business continuity tests in line with Company Standards •
