Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair tasks for both onshore and offshore locations. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance duties to ensure the efficient and safe operation of facilities and equipment in both environments.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent education.

  2. Proven experience as a Technician or similar role, preferably in onshore and offshore environments.

  3. Must be skilled in the Refrigeration (Reefer Unit) and Electrical systems.

  4. Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs.

  5. Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  6. Familiarity with safety practices and regulations applicable to onshore and offshore work.

  7. Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.

  9. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

  10. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and contractors.

  11. Willingness to work in offshore environments, adhere to rotational work schedules, and follow safety protocols at all times.

  12. Must possess a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct period checks on Reefer Containers and must be able to fix any damaged unit.

  2. Perform general maintenance and repair tasks for onshore and offshore facilities, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

  3. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues.

  4. Carry out preventive maintenance activities, such as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  5. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly and efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.

  6. Repair or replace damaged equipment, fixtures, and components using appropriate tools and techniques.

  7. Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work, troubleshooting issues and resolving them as required.

  8. Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency exits, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, completed tasks, and materials used.

  10. Coordinate and communicate with other team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

  11. Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
