Demerara Distillers Limited & Subsidiaries (DDL) is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite qualifications and experience, for the position of Legal Assistant / Office Administrator.
Degree or Diploma in Law.
At least 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or employed in a similar post in a law firm, corporate or other legal department.
Familiarity with corporate and regulatory compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Apply for and secure licenses, registrations, permits, insurances for the activities of the Group.
Research laws and publications to assist with the preparation of reports and legal advice.
Manage and maintain intellectual property rights register.
Liaise with Insurers and Brokers to file and pursue claims.
Handle internal and external communication including communication with Regulators, Governmental Agencies, Directors, Shareholders, Share Registrar and External Counsel
Maintain a reliable filing system and undertake administrative duties.
